Sonoma County Birding: West County Regional Trail
West County Regional Trail runs 5.5 miles through the towns of Forestville, Graton and Sebastopol. The vineyards, oak woodlands, rural countryside, and waste water treatment ponds provide a great locale for birding. Our 15 Favorite Bird Photos From 2018
We don’t fancy ourselves bird photographers, but merely birders who like to take some photos. We originally decided to get a camera as a way to ID and study birds we were unsure of in the field. These bird photographs also have a way of transporting us back in time, reminding us of that specific bird we spent time with on that specific day. Sonoma County Birding: New Year’s Day at Ellis Creek
January 1 is traditionally a big birding day, as many birders are eager to re-start their year lists. We spent an afternoon with some of our favorite county birders exploring one of our favorite county hotspots, Ellis Creek Water Recycling Facility in Petaluma, California.
